STATIC is a low-budget horror romp complete with plenty of action, lots of blood, and no end of thrills. Thrown in is a poke in the eye for the American media, true karma for any t.v. news station, as the monsters in STATIC have no restraint when it comes to being a critic.

Fast-paced, with over-preening reporters being fed their just deserts, STATIC is edgy, funny, and gory all at the same time. Much of STATIC would be shot as if it were really occuring and the viewer were switching from news channel to news channel.

It was written to be shot with a combination of high-end and low-end video using video- and film-quality effects. STATIC is more commentary than satire. You could look at it as a blend of Paddy Chayefsky's Network and Fifties B-movies. It's a lot of fun.
